Faithful to God's Word

Breaking News

Christ is risen!  God has given His Son as a ransom for sinners, in history, and it is Him we celebrate all these years later. For we still and daily receive the benefits of His mercy on all who repent and call on Him.

Our heavenly Father is blessing our congregation with growth in faith and growth in numbers.  Children and adults have been added to our fellowship in the last several years.

Thanks to a generous donation, our new organ and sound system have been installed, and are enhancing worship and making it easier to hear the Gospel.

These days we are trying a new format for Sunday School.

In April , a missions team will begin again our walking the neighboring streets, meeting neighbors,  taking a survey of community needs and getting the word out about  God's salvation, and our congregation!
We worship and live in the light of Jesus' crucified and raised from the dead.  Join us Sunday as we celebrate the most earth-shaking event in all history!

We offer holy Communion most Sundays for our members and members of our sister Lutheran Church Missouri Synod congregations. We'd like to talk with you about joining us.

We are hearing bells these days!  After decades of silence, we now hear church bells ringing on Sunday mornings to call all to worship our Lord, the maker of heaven and earth, the Savior.

With the apostle Paul, we also say, "I resolved to know nothing...  except Jesus Christ and him crucified."

A little about Trinity Lutheran Congregation

Teaching from the Bible the timeless good news of the Grace of God who sent Jesus to be crucified in the place of sinners like you and me, Trinity has served this community for almost 125 years.
We are a member congregation of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.  In 1965 a new church was built as the worship site moved from the original site in nearby Pitcairn, PA, to growing Monroeville, 15 miles east of downtown Pittsburgh.  Trinity has been served by many faithful pastors  through the years, each speaking from God's Word, not from the pastor's own inventions, nor applying man's logic to spiritual truth. We invite you to join our community for worship and fellowship this week.

Proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ

Picture
The Bible contains two basic doctrines. The first is the truth that every person that walked this earth, except one, is/was a sinner.  Really, you and I have proved that to ourselves ten thousand times; but often we settle into a defensive imagination that we're not as bad as what's-his-name over there. The Law doctrine of the Bible yanks us back to knowing just how hopelessly you and I have gone astray.   It sort-of throws us down to the ground where we expect punishment.
That's when the Good News lifts believers up, delivering the sweet forgiveness of God, so we can live at peace with both God and our neighbors. The Good News is that God loves us so much that He heaped the punishment that we deserved on His Son Jesus when Jesus walked this earth and suffered and died in our places on the cross.  Read the book of John to get the whole story on this.  Then you will see that the Holy Bible is the book about God's love and that He calls us to a life-long relationship where we live every moment in the joy of having Him close as our skin, beginning in His washing, called Baptism.  From then on, reading God's Word refreshes and feeds us, that we daily walk in spiritual life.
Again- pick up John's Gospel (Good news) and start there.  Then call the number below and talk to Pastor Ruppert or someone at Trinity.  And God bless you as you read!
Oh, yeah!  The one who never sinned (in the second line of the top paragraph above?)  Jesus, Son of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
